"My husband Great x3 Grandfather lived by this store in 1847 when it was a butcher's store. We've always wanted to visit it and imagine him standing there all those years ago.It's one of the nicest bookstores we've ever been in. The mix of new and old can be seen everywhere. Be sure to walk up the tiny staircase leading to the upper level, really cool.So many books!! Excellent store"

"The location is brilliant because you can escape the madness of trafalgar square. the cafe upstairs can be a little busy but they have a toilet up there (closes early some days so be aware) also it's not the nicest or cleanest toilet in the world... i really like this branch though, it's better than the strand for sure."

"I actually went here with a friend at the start of 2022. At this point I was still wearing a mask quite often, hence the mask.This bookshop is a one of a kind. It is a trailblazer for high streets and bookshops, because of the immense inclusivity and variety of books there are inside. Not to mention other interesting buys too.I’ve since been to 1 other queer bookshop, in Manchester. The UK and the world need more of these places to enhance the inclusion of high street stores, and also increase the amount of safe places for queer people to go to and visit.The selection of books was amazing. I personally bought one on homosexuality in ancient Greece. My friend bought some queer movies, and there was also a great selection of vintage picture books, life modelling magazines and collectors items too.It’s only small, but it brings a very great and vibrant energy. If you’re in London for a day trip, take a visit there! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️"

"I can’t say enough good things about this shop. It’s so lovely and has tons of books I had never seen before, along with beautiful stationery products. They also put many books by local authors to the front, which was great for us, as tourists!I’m a bookworm and bookstores are my happy place. This one is definitely on top of my list of favorites, and truly fits right in with the ambiance of Bath.😌The store itself is full of charm, and the staff is wonderful. The novel I picked up had some imperfections and they offered me a small discount towards it, since it was the last copy available, which was really appreciated.Amazing experience all around, can’t wait to go back someday!📚"

"Best bookshop in London. Yesterday I was at Watkins and Jaqueline gave me a runes reading. It was very nice. She is definitely a good reader. She reads 2 different sets, wood (from Holly tree) and crystals, and reads the runes with you, not only for you. She explained the runes within runes and multi layered runic meanings towards your reading. It was like a multidimensional information portal, instead of the usual flat and linear tarot readings most people do. I was very impressed. I think she reads there usually on Tuesdays."

"Not far from St. Paul Cathedral. Full of traveling books including translated novels from each regions. Also a lot of new updated novels and children books. Nice atmosphere to spend the weekend and look for your favourite books."

"A fabulous second hand bookshop. Huge, academic and all other books you could ever want. Very helpful staff. Very short walk from Russell Square tube station on the Piccadilly line. The books are not catalogued so just go there. This splendid bookshop used to be in Sicilian Avenue, off Kingsway in Holborn."

They also implemented a system of collecting stamps to get a discount, which is convenient since I will be definitively coming back.There are two levels of nicely categorised books, which are a joy to browse. "A lovely, homely bookshop right in the middle of Norwich city centre.Certainly a niche book collection. If you are looking for popular or new books then I would suggest Waterstones.If you are looking for collectors editions, especially on art, culture, history or the classics, or militaria then this is the place to have a good look around. Upstairs there were also plenty of children's books to look through.Hard to really describe the type of books in this shop. You really need to go in and have a good look around."
